Obtaining a work permit / residence VISA to Spain - Step 2

The Bangalore Police were very quick in calling me. In three days of me applying for a Police Verification Certificate, I got a call from a policeman, that too from his mobile phone. He asked me directions to my place and came down in an hour. After a close look at the place where I live, he asked me for my certificates and address proof. I produced them and he was satisfied. He asked me a few questions and one thing that particularly caught his eye was a world map that was put up at my place. I also have a whiteboard to write things down. He was suspicious of both. I convinced him that these were for my personal use.
Again, I had to fill a form and also write a request letter. He took around Rs 300 for the work and I was asked to go to the Koramangala Police station and submit 2 photographs and proofs.

In two days time I went to the police station and presented everything.

Today, I went to the Passport Office again to inquire. I had to stand in the long queue at the inquiry. I produced my receipt of the certificate and I got to know that the Commissioner of Police had forwarded my form yesterday. Happy Chance!

He told me that if I wanted the certificate in a day or two, I had to apply for Tatkal which was free. I again got the pink Tatkal application form and also wrote a request letter. I submitted them and got a token to meet the Deputy Passport Officer. I waited outside his door and was called immediately.
I have been asked to go again tomorrow at 5 PM and I will get my Police Verification Certificate. Phew!

Note - Need a lot of Passport Size photographs for doing all this. So, always carry reqd documents, extra photographs and glue to the Passport Office.
