Surat and Bombay cont’d
Well, then I had a meeting with GJ Joshi Sir. I was told that there are new departments starting and within a span of 2-3 years, NIT Surat will have around 5000 people in Campus. New hostels are also being built and the whole college is going to be different. We had a discussion where I stressed on the importance of branding that is needed for our college.
After this meeting I went back to the college gate and met juniors. I met almost everyone from KSA and also a few other juniors. I was joined by Chattan and Arindam at this point of time. Chakra and Vibhu after a nice afternoon nap also joined. We then decided on whether to meet Channi Sir ir not. Finally we called him and he said he was unwell. We decided to go to the special Anda shop near Rajhans and I still don’t remember the things we had. This was vintage Surat life where we used to have Anda in the evenings at times. We also met Ghodi who works at Essar.
We then returned to Chattan’s room and relaxed. After continuos bakar till around 3 AM, we left for Chamunda. Arindam joined us here. We had Khamman a few fried items followed by Mava. Afterwards, we went to the Railway Station and booked tickets for Mumbai. We chose old favoirite ‘Flying Ranee’.
After the familiar ride on the Rani to Mumbai, we got down at Andheri and took an auto to Takshila. We called Khaddu home, had breakfast at Sagar and left for ‘Pratap Da Dhaba’. We were met by Dhir,Charan,Raghu and Abhinand. We had a gala time talking about old times and finally parted. We then went to Inorbit and myself and Khaddu were gifted Cologne’s by the juniors.
We went back home, packed and left for the airport. I took the 9 20 Indigo to Bangalore. I would rate Indigo for comfort and service after Kingfisher and Jet. The seats are spacious and I dozed off. I was too tired from the journey. I reached Banagalore on time and took the Vayu Vajra to Koramangala.
