The Sunday Update…
Friday was my last day at Fashion Networks. I worked with FN for a year and it was great fun and learning too. Feels a little sad now after all the hard work.
I joined FN on Sep 5th 2008 after experimenting with retail and event management. I also went to Calcutta and joined IISWBM to do Sports Management. But all that did not happen and following my granny’s death, I joined FN. I had some great colleagues around me at FN and some names I would mention include Chandresh Pant ( the love guru, ISB passout and our Prod Manager), Shreedhara ( “Never say No” and Web Design), Sethu, Umesh, Manju, Mohan, Rashmi and others. I would also like to mention Shyam our boss who motivated me, helped me look at the world the way I do now. We were also surrounded by a whole lot of very enthusisatic interns. Special mention to Priyank Sir and Ulrike Struck.
I also had a great vendor base with amazing content writers, bloggers, printers, editors, marketing consultants, and this list can go on and on…
We all worked really hard and when I look back at the year that has gone by, I have made exponential progress on my profile in terms of experience, money and skill development. Thanks to everything that has happened. This is the farewell note I wrote

This was Shaili’s reply
“Though its been a very short while that I have worked under you, but these few months (that includes the internship) have been an AWESOME learning experience. My 1st job and an awesome boss, who is more like a friend!, what more can you ask for!!!”
I spent the last two days lazing and playing cards with friends. My father once told me that playing cards is the last thing a man should do. If you feel that you have nothing to do and want to kill time, then you resort to playing cards. My present weekend was sandwiched between my joining date of my new company and I had already left FN.
To update all, I join PRUSLAND, my new company tomorrow. PRUSLAND is based in Madrid and we are into targeted video advertising. I will be working from home for the first 2 months and then will leave for Madrid. I am excited about celebrating Onam in Kerala this time after 7 years. My brother is also coming down and we are going to have a great time. My mouth waters at the thought of Palada Prathaman.
Lots and lots to write, but now I have to finish watching Mumbai Meri Jaan and then go to sleep. I leave for Mysore tomorrow early morning.
