VV Puram Roadside Eateries
Its a shame actually that in spite of having stayed in Bangalore for more than 3 years and being an Idli, Dosa aficionado, I ve never visited the roadside eateries near VB Bakery at VV Puram. Infact I heard about it for the first time yesterday from Shaili. I decided that I ll go there the same day and infact I did it. I called upon my right hand man Kalyan and he was immediately on the job.
It was raining cats and dogs but even in the heavy rain, we made it to VV Puram. Here is a description on how to reach the place.
From East End Circle, go straight towards Banshankari. Take the right turn which leads straight to South End Circle. After the South End Circle, go straight until you reach Lal Bagh West Gate. At the West Gate take a left. Go straight and take the first right towards VV Puram. After a few metres you will find a circle. Circle around and you will find VB Bakery. The street is next to the bakery.
The distinctive aroma of south Indian food is what greets you as you reach. As it was a rainy day, there were’nt many shops open. The whole street is colorful and sells South Indian (Idli, Dosas, etc), Chinese, Chat and a whole variety of sweets like Ubattu, etc. We started of by having Ghee Masala Dosas, then had noodles and Gobi Manchurian, then some homemade sweets, Ubattu and finally hot badam milk.
The price is cheap and the entire street sells only vegetarian.
Nice place to hangout if you have some free time.
