Remembering my grandmother
My grandmother passed away two weeks back and I thought I’d post something in her memorial. I found this awesome video dated 1993 (16 years back). My grandma would be around 60 then and she was very active. My grandma had a never say die attitude and retired from professional life as the Principal of a school.
She was always loving and determined. However, old age is the biggest curse and I am sad that she is no more.
The video was taken when we were at a big family get together playing “Passing the Parcel” You keep passing a box until the music stops and you have to enact whatever is written on the chit that you take.
My grandma’s chit read “Act like an elephant” and the rest is there for you to see. Some cousins tell me that they remember her as the “Aana Mami” or the “Elephant aunt” because of this stunt.
